Careers

Build machines that feed people

Ifenri is hiring its first field team. These are hard, unglamorous roles in real field conditions — and they are the ones that decide whether Nigerian agriculture gets the tools it needs.

If none of these fit but you think you belong here, write to us anyway and say what you would own.

Drone pilot

  • Full-time or contract
  • Nigeria — field cluster
  • Immediate

Fly mapping and (once approved) spraying missions, keep airworthiness records, care for the equipment, and translate imagery into something a farmer can act on.

What we look for

  • Current certification, or the ability to obtain it
  • Meticulous pre-flight discipline and record keeping
  • Comfort working in rural field conditions
  • Willingness to follow the SOP on every single flight

Agronomist

  • Partner or part-time
  • Nigeria — field cluster
  • Immediate

Own the agronomic validity of every recommendation Ifenri puts in front of a farmer. You are the check on the AI, not its backup.

What we look for

  • Crop experience with maize, rice, cassava or vegetables
  • Comfort with field data and imagery
  • Willingness to say 'this recommendation is wrong'
  • Trust-building with cooperatives and smallholders
Apply by email

Field technician

  • Contract
  • Nigeria — field cluster

What we look for

  • Practical mechanical and electrical skill
  • Discipline with inventory and paperwork
  • Ability to diagnose in the field, not just the workshop
  • Interest in learning robotics repair — this team services the rovers
Apply by email

Robotics / embedded engineer

  • Part-time or university collaborator, from month 2
  • Nigeria — hybrid
  • From month 2

Mentor the founder on rover electronics and software, review designs, and help take R1 from prototype to something a technician can repair.

What we look for

  • ROS 2 and embedded C/C++ experience
  • Motor control, sensors, power systems
  • Interest in ruggedization for dust, heat and vibration
  • Patience for teaching, not just building
Apply by email

What we look for

  • Existing relationships in a farming cluster

  • Judgement about risk and when to abort a job
  • Absolute commitment to Ifenri staying civilian and unarmed

Working here

What you are signing up for

This is a startup building hardware in a hard market. That is worth being blunt about.

Field-first

Real time on real farms every week. The field decides what we build.

Written down

Every failure, near-miss and decision gets recorded. No verbal-only engineering.

Safety is not negotiable

Human in the loop on every safety-critical action, without exception.

Civilian, always

We never arm staff or farmers, and we never will.

Honest status

If something is not working, we say so publicly rather than at the next review.

Repair over replace

If a local technician cannot fix it, we designed it wrong.

Start the conversation

Make food secure and farming profitable — at the same time

Tell us your crop, your hectares and where you lose money today. We will tell you honestly whether Ifenri can improve that hectare yet — and if we cannot, we will say so.

Farmers & cooperatives

Book mapping, scouting or machinery for your cluster. Pilots are paid and measured from the first hectare.

Book a field service

Buyers & processors

Talk to us about reliable, traceable supply and where the loss actually happens in your crop.

Discuss supply

Funders & partners

Read the working plan, the gates, and the unit economics before you commit a naira.
